Young people may choose to be involved in QueerNet for social reasons, just to have fun and/or because they are facing common issues experienced by queer/questioning youth i.e. family violence/abuse, systemic/societal homophobia, heterosexism,
stereotyping, schoolyard bullying, harrassment,
marginalisation, silencing, isolation, fear, and
disconnection from all systems/contexts of life.
