
Out In the Community: Delivering inclusive community services for clients and co-workers with diverse sexual or gender identities.
An accredited training package from Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE and Gay and Lesbian Health Victoria.
This resource is designed for workers in any community agency to enhance the response of workers to these often marginalised clients. It was developed by the Community Services Department at Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE in conjunction with Gay and Lesbian Health Victoria and based on an earlier resource for housing workers which in 2006 won the Community Services and Health Industry Training Board Award for Innovation.

A CD Rom with all slideshows and materials for copying, including a student workbook
The two day training package covers two customised units from the nationally accredited Community Services Training Package:
HLTHIR403B Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers
CHCCS422A Respond holistically to client issues and refer appropriately
These units exist in many community services qualifications from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma Level.
