Gay and Lesbian Health Victoria

Not ‘just’ a friend: best practice guidance on health care for lesbian, gay and bisexual service users and their families. For the best health outcomes, health care workers and service users need a relationship of trust. Good communication and confidence are essential. The NHS Plan commits to a principle of equal access to and equity of treatment in health care services. The experience of many lesbian, gay and bisexual service users currently falls far short of this.
