Gay and Lesbian Health Victoria Training

GLHV offers one off training sessions on a user pays basis on meeting the needs of GLBTI clients for health services, local councils and other community services. The training is developed in consultation with the particular service and may be as short as an hour or two or as long as a one day session. Questions the training might answer are:

• How many GLBTI people are there?
• What are their particular health and wellbeing issues?
• What might be the barriers to service providers meeting their needs?
• What makes a good inclusive service?
• What are the strategies to get our service more inclusive?

Resources are distributed at training sessions to support the process of service change and make it easier to initiate
