Training

We offer a range of training and professional development options for individuals and organisations aimed at improving the quality of services they provide to LGBTI people.

LGBTI Cultural awareness and empathy foundation training

We offer a half-day foundation training session which explores lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex (LGBTI) people’s experiences of everyday life and the ways in which systemic discrimination, including homophobia, biphobia and transphobia, affect their health and wellbeing.
The training explores:

  • Terminology, numbers and language
  • Why it's important to consider the needs of LGBTI clients and staff
  • How your organisation can confidently provide LGBTI-incluisve services

The training draws on current research and data and provides an opportunity to explore issues in a safe and confidential environment. The session is includes videos, empathy based activities, case studies and discussion.

We have been delivering this training to a range of organisations for over ten years.
